Thune staff member will be in Vermillion Sept. 23 Congressman John Thune announced today that Larry Russell, his southeast area director, will be in North Sioux City and Vermillion on Thursday, Sept. 23, to visit with residents and community officials. Russell will be available beginning at 10 a.m. at city hall in North Sioux City, and at 1 p.m. in the community room at the Clay County Courthouse in Vermillion. He will visit one-on-one with residents who have a question, problem with a federal agency or who wish to express their views on a particular issue.
Russell plans to attend "Where the Money is in Union County & the Siouxland Region," which is being sponsored by the North Sioux City Economic Development Corporation at 7:30 a.m. at the North Sioux City Community Center. In addition, Russell will stop by local businesses and meet with county, city, chamber and economic development officials while in North Sioux City and Vermillion.
"It's a high priority of mine to remain in close contact with the citizens and local officials from communities across our state. The information, concerns and advice offered during this visit will be very helpful to me as I represent South Dakota in the U.S. House of Representatives," said Thune. "Larry will report to me on the issues and problems discussed during his visit."
