VHS golfers compete in Mitchell Invitational by Jim Prosser Kirk Hogen, VHS golf coach, was satisfied with the Tanager performance at the Mitchell Invitational, Friday, Sept. 17.
�We did okay competing against a field of 14 schools, 11 from class AA, and finishing eighth,� he said.
The Tanagers placed eighth with an 18 hole team score of 335. Aaron Baedke led the team with an 81 and Brett Hogen�s 82 was a close second. Derrick Brown and Nathan Boots had duplicate scores of 86 and Rob Schaack was at 90.
The three-man JV team consisting of Tyler Brown, Jeremi Cowman, and Bo Nelson also placed eighth with a score of 267. Nelson led the team with an 85, while the other two tied with a 91.
