Around the Town By Emma Drissen It has been a busy year for the chamber and soon we will be into the holiday season. Plans are already being made for the Nov. 21 open house. It makes us realize how quickly time passes. But, before the snow flies and the holiday season begins, take advantage of the glorious autumn weather we've been enjoying.
Walk or drive around Vermillion and take in the beauty of it all. Look over the view from the bluff, it's breathtaking! The lights in the trees downtown make the city shine throughout the night. We have so much right in our own backyard. This is our town, experience it!
As the fall season gets underway, the chamber of commerce is gearing up for future events. Our ambassadors are busy organizing the hospitality room for the coaches and media at the DakotaDome for the annual High School Football Championship Playoffs Nov. 5 and 6.
The ambassadors also have ribbon cuttings at Little Yotes Day Care Center, 505 Stanford, Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m. and The Kitchen Place, 5 W. Cherry, Thursday, Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. The chamber can't stress enough the importance of our ambassador committee. Thank you all for your dedicated volunteer service. For more information on becoming an ambassador, please call the chamber at 624-5571.
Hope you are all enjoying our terrific autumn weather. Don't forget to check out the Halloween merchandise at all our local businesses! Have a great week!
