Caregivers workshop scheduled for Oct. 19 A full-day conference entitled "Grit & Grace of Caregiving" will be held in Yankton on Tuesday, Oct. 19. The workshop is designed for people who provide ongoing care for a loved one incapacitated by illness or handicap. Caregivers will also be familiarized with resources available to support them in their role. This is also an opportunity to form a network of support with other caregivers and professionals in the region.
The workshop will be held in the Benedictine Center Cafeteria on the campus of Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 3:45 p.m. There is a $10 registration fee per person.
Adult day care services are available for your loved one the day of the conference. Transportation services within Yankton to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Adult Day Services are also available. You must call 605-668-8625 to make these arrangements. This service is made possible by the Council on Aging.
