Double header quilt class will be offered The Clay County Extension Office is sponsoring a double header quilt class on Patchwork Christmas Stockings and Quilted Bags.
The classes will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 to 4 p.m. Students may sign up for either class at a cost of $15 per class or for both classes and a lunch for a $30 fee.
At the morning session Mary Waller will teach two versions of patch work Christmas stockings that you can finish and take home ready to hang for the holidays. In the afternoon, Krisma DeWitt will instruct a class on constructing a strip pieced bag using the sew and flip method which will also be ready to take home by the end of the day. Both classes feature ideas for using up scraps or fat quarter medleys.
Instructional handouts and patterns will be provided. Students supply basic sewing supplies, including a sewing machine in good working order and fabric.
For more information or to receive a supply list, call Mary Waller at 624-6629 or the Extension Office at 677-7111. Payment must accompany registration.
