Golf team improves record after meeting Lennox team In a dual match with the Lennox Orioles at the The Bluffs on Sept. 28, the Vermillion golf team won the varsity and JV divisions but lost the JV-B.
The varsity score was a whopping 29 strokes better than the Oriole total (164-193).
Medalist honors went to the two-some of Brett Hogen and Derrick Brown who both shot 40. Rob Schaack was at 41, Nathan Boots scored 43. Aaron Baedke completed the scoring with a 46.
In the JV match, the team score was Vermillion 181, Lennox 199 with Tanager scores of: Tyler Brown 40, Matt Hollingsworth 45, Bo Nelson and Ryan Nelson both with 48 and Jeremi Cowman 51.
The JV-B score was close- 308-301 � but low score decides the winner in golf so the six-member score total for Lennox prevailed.
Individual scores were: Todd Anderson 44, Brad Schaack 49, Chris Moen and Alex Hoffman 51 each, Joel Anderson 55, and Tyler Zimmerman 58.
The team was at a triangular played at Elmwood in Sioux Falls, involving Lincoln and Lennox on Sept. 29.
