USD soccer team tops ND South Dakota improved its soccer record to 5-4-1 with a 1-0 victory over North Dakota Sunday in Vermillion.
Fabriana Arobba scored in the first minute of overtime to give the Coyotes the win on an assist from Angela Houdek. Saturday in Vermillion the Coyotes fell to North Dakota State, 4-1. USD was held scoreless until late in the second half when Houdek scored on an assist from Amanda Haffner.
Last Wednesday at home the Coyotes blanked Northwestern, 3-0. Haffner scored in the 51st minute, followed by Emily Gunter's goal at the 52nd minute on an assist from Houdek. USD's third goal came from Stephanie Hawley in the 62nd minute.
South Dakota is at Northern State Wednesday. USD's final home match is Oct. 23 against N. Colorado.
