Wed June 19 Lisa Marie Hopkins, Denison, IA, daughter of Fred and Joan Hopkins, Webster City, IA and Scott Alan Bowker, Denison, son of Robert and Jane Bowker, Vermillion, exchanged vows at an outdoor setting at the bride's parents' home Saturday, June 19 with pastor Dan Gifford officiating.
Music was provided by the Phoenix String Quartet from Des Moines with Jeannie Vande Zande on keyboard.
Maid of honor was Heidi Hopkins, sister of the bride, Manhattan, NY. Bridesmaids were Michelle Bowker, sister of the groom, Fort Polk, LA, Sara Carlson, friend of the bride, Berea, OH and Sheri Errthum, friend of the bride, Denison, IA.
The flower bearer was Kirk Greenley, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Eric Greenley, cousin of the bride.
Best man was Sam Hennier, friend of the groom, Little Canada, MN. Groomsmen were Aaron Hopkins, brother of the bride, Cedar Falls, IA Ken Ristau, friend of the groom, Marshall, MN and Doug Streifel, friend of the groom, Denver, CO. Ushers were Mark Lederer, cousin of the groom, Fort Atkinson, WI, Mark Soehren, friend of the groom, Ithaca, NY, Tom Shields, friend of the groom, Sioux Falls and Mike Janak, friend of the groom, Sioux Falls.
A rehearsal party was hosted by the groom's parents at Second Street Emporium in Webster City.
A dinner buffet was held at Briggs Woods Club House. Grandparents attending were Esther Hopkins, Cheyenne, WY, Evelyn Truelson, West Bend, IA and Robert Bowker, Sac City, IA.
Two hundred guests from Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Louisiana, Ohio, Wyoming, New York, New Hampshire, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Texas attended.
Following a trip to Montego Bay, the couple is residing in Denison.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa and is employed as a kindergarten teacher with Denison Public Schools.
The groom is a graduate of The University of South Dakota and the Illinois College of Optometry. He is employed as an optometrist with Vision Eye Care of Denison.
