One-act plays to open Nov. 19 When USD Theatre presents its workshop production of three one-act plays Nov. 19 and 20 at 8 p.m. in the Arena Theatre of the Warren M. Lee Center for the Fine Arts, spectators will meet an ominous but philosophical assassin, a zany southern belle, and an unhappily married couple.
The plays include A Conversation at Night with a Despised Character, an absurdist drama by Friedrich Durrenmatt; For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls, a wacky farce by Christopher Durang; and Sailing, a contemporary drama on marital dysfunction by Michael Shurtleff.
Tickets are $2 for the general public and $1 for USD students with ID. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended. Tickets may be reserved by calling 677-5400 or purchased at the theatre box office in Fine Arts.
