USD swim team competes against Colorado schools The South Dakota swimming and diving team was in Colorado Friday and Saturday competing against Northern Colorado, Metro State and Colorado School of Mines.
Friday against Metro State, the Coyote men (145.5-95.5) and women (118-94) both lost. Shad Durham claimed both the three-meter and one-meter diving events. Torey Melto claimed the 200 IM and USD won the 200 medley relay. Robyn Chrissinger took the 1,000 freestyle and 500 freestyle, and Sara Hamlet captured the 200 freestyle.
Saturday in double-dual action, the USD men posted a 135-106 win over Colorado School Mines while the USD women lost, 64-39. The Northern Colorado women defeated the Coyotes, 85-24.
Winning for the Coyotes were: Hamlet, 1,000 freestyle, ; Clint Eckhardt, 1,000 freestyle, 500 freestyle; John Javorski, 50 freestyle; Chrissinger, 200 IM; David Molesworth, 200 backstroke; Justin Devlin, 200 breaststroke; Durham, one-meter diving; and Matt Fox, three-meter diving.
The Coyotes are at Nebraska-Omaha Dec. 9.
