USD swim team in triple dual The South Dakota swimming and diving team was in Kirksville, MO Friday and Saturday for a triple dual.
Against Truman State, the Coyote men (139-66) and the women (156-45) both lost. The USD men defeated Lewis (133-68), and Lewis topped the Coyote women (136-67). Against Nebraska-Kearney, the USD women won (92-580) and the Coyote men fell to Missouri-Rolla (103-59).
Robyn Chrissinger led USD. She won the 200 breaststroke against Lewis, the 500 freestyle against Kearney, the 500 freestyle against Truman State, the 100 freestyle against Kearney and the 400 IM against Truman State.
Justin Devlin captured the 200 breaststroke against Lewis and the 100 breaststroke against Truman State. Sara Pokela took first in the 200 backstroke (Lewis) and the 100 IM (Kearney), while John Javorski was tops in the 100 freestyle (Lewis) and 50 freestyle (Truman State).
Other winners were: Stefanie Kapinus, 50 backstroke (Kearney); Tracy Magnuson, 50 butterfly (Kearney); Tyler Hartl, 100 freestyle (Kearney); Sara Hamlet, 1,000 freestyle (Lewis); Torey Melton, 200 butterfly (Lewis); and David Molesworth, 200 backstroke (Lewis).
