Coyote men run record to 8-0 South Dakota, ranked No. 10 in the NABC Division II poll, improved its men's basketball record to 8-0 with a 77-46 win over Mount Marty last Monday. The Coyotes are idle until Dec. 28 when USD entertains Midland Lutheran at 7:30 p.m.
The Coyotes, who open defense of their North Central Conference crown Jan. 2-3 at Augustana and South Dakota State, took a 40-17 halftime lead over Mount Marty. USD held the Lancers to 17.9 percent shooting during the first 20 minutes and 28.6 for the game.
Jason Barrow and Jeremy Kudera led the Coyotes with 16 and 13 points, respectively. Nathan Blessen and Lamarr Butler-Parker each scored eight points with seven for Seth Ahrendt.
