Korte is named to Luther College choir Luther College freshman Kendra Korte from Vermillion has been selected as a member of the Pike Kor, Luther's freshman women's choir for the 1999-2000 academic year.
Korte is the daughter of Leon and Solveig Korte from Vermillion.
The 100-member choir is conducted by Sandra Peter, instructor in music. The Pike Kor is featured at Luther's homecoming and annual Juletide Christmas concert. They also perform a spring concert and in campus chapel and worship services.
Luther is a selective four-year college located in Decorah, IA. The college has an enrollment of over 2,500 students, primarily from a four-state, upper Midwest area. The student body includes about 120 international students.
Luther offers a liberal arts education leading to the bachelor of arts degree in 60 majors and pre-professional programs. The college's academic programs in the sciences, arts and humanities, supported by cocurricular and student life activities, prepare students to serve and to achieve.
