VHS gymnasts face tough teams at Wagner Invite

VHS gymnasts face tough teams at Wagner Invite by Jim Prosser Coach Mark Upward's varsity gymnasts placed fourth among eight teams at Wagner last Saturday, Dec. 11.

"Once again, our strength must be a team that is 'five deep' in the lineup in each event," he said.

The only placer for the Tanager team was Amber Reisdorph who placed fifth on floor exercise with a 7.8 and fifth on vault with a 8.4.

The team scores placed them in each event as follows: uneven parallel bars fifth; balance beam seventh; floor exercise second; vault: second.

Final team scores for the invitational: Madison � 127.2,; West Central � 109; Stanley County � 107.9; Vermillion 107; Chamberlain � 103; Wagner � 99.25; Miller � 98.35; Winner � 62.25.

The Tanagers were at West Central on Tuesday, Dec. 14 and will host the first annual Winter Wonderland Invitational on Thursday, Dec. 30 � your last time in the 20th century to enjoy a gymnastic competition! There will be six schools represented. The meet will begin at noon.
