Around the Town By Emma Drissen With our legislators back to work, it's that time again when we have our Cracker Barrel sessions. This is a great way for the community to meet with our representatives for a question and answer session.
The first Cracker Barrel is Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Vermillion Public Library. Come and discuss issues with State Senator Joe Reedy and State Representatives Judy Clark and H. Junior Engbrecht.
Mark your calendar for the second session which is Saturday, Feb. 19 also at the public library at 10 a.m. These sessions are sponsored by the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce and the ETA Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma.
Our Chamber membership for 2000 is moving right along. We encourage present members to renew their investment for the coming year. We also invite non-members, whether business or individual, to stop in the Chamber office or call us at 624-5571 for information on joining the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce. Thank you all for your support.
With the warm winter we've had, the litter on the streets and sidewalks of Vermillion is more obvious this year. Let's all be aware of this problem and start picking up the debris that ends up in front of our business or home. We should look at Vermillion periodically through the eyes of a tourist and see what impression it gives us. Let's all do our part to keep Vermillion clean and beautiful. Thanks, and have a great week!
