Around the Town by Emma Drissen Now that we are getting into the new year, the Chamber is busy with its membership drive and setting up committees to serve the various projects that occur during the year.
We encourage members of the Chamber to call or stop in the office and sign up for a committee that suits your interests. We have a wide selection from which to choose. We would also like to thank all our volunteers who have given their time and energy to committees in the past year and as they continue to do so into the coming year. The Chamber thrives because of the volunteers who give of themselves so generously.
The Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce and the ETA Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma are sponsoring two cracker barrel sessions. The first one is slated for Saturday, Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. at the Vermillion Public Library. This is a great way for the community to meet with our state legislators for a question and answer session. The second cracker barrel is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19. Both sessions are free and open to the public. We hope you'll join us.
If you are interested in supporting the many activities the Chamber of Commerce is involved in, why not become a member! Call the Chamber office at 624-5571 for more information. Have a terrific week!
