'B' team Redbirds defeat Lynx 26-10 The VMS eighth grade ?B� team Redbirds beat the Brandon Valley ?B� team Lynx 26-10 in boys basketball Jan. 18 at Brandon.
Collin Prosser had a great game with 4 steals, 12 points and 4 rebounds. David Yutrzenka also had 8 rebounds and a great game defensively.
�Jason Holoch handled the point very well and also shot 6/8 from the charity stripe,� said ?B� team Coach Devin Schwiesow.
The Redbirds jumped in front 8-0 after the first quarter, led 12-2 after the second period, and then led 18-5 after the third quarter.
�We played great defense, and we�re still improving offensively,� said Coach Schwiesow.
The ?B� team now has a record of 2-0, while Brandon Valley fell to 2-4.
The ?B� team hit 12 of 17 from the line while the Lynx hit 1 of 9 free throw tries.
A number of excellent individual efforts highlighted the win.
�Max Swanson and Jason Holoch each scored 6 points,� Coach Schwiesow said.
