Exchange vows Misi M. Blotsky and Chad M. Kayl were married Oct. 16, 1999 at Spearfish Canyon Resort with Rev. Steve Agan officiating. Parents of the couple are Charlie and Marla Blotsky of Sturgis and Dennis and Joyce Kayl of Burbank.
Amy Thiele of Clearwater, NE was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tricia Jones of Rapid City, Kim Vasknetz of Sturgis, and Kim Roupe of Burbank. Junior bridesmaid was Megan Blotsky of Sturgis. Honorary flower girl was Taylor Kayl of Burbank. Personal attendant was Cindy Henke of Vermillion.
Chad Brunick of Vermillion was best man. Groomsmen were Chad Johnson of Watertown, Larry Ouellette of Council Bluffs, IA, and Chad Blotsky of Rapid City.
Ushers were Shelly Koller of Vermillion and Mike Lokken of Sioux Falls. Kodi Abbott, Valentine, NE, attended the guest book.
Honored guests were great-grandmother Lena Braun, and Johney Schell of Morristown, grandparents Maurice and Dorothy Campbell of McIntosh and Dorothy Wensel and Kenneth Beach of Vermillion and special friends Bill and Jean Andrews of Sturgis.
Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at Spearfish Canyon Resort. Jane Larson and Janice Kitzler of Vermillion served cake. Punch was served by Kay Dahl of Centerville.
The bride is a 1991 graduate of Sturgis Brown High School. She attended The University of South Dakota. She is currently employed by the Vermillion Public Library. The groom graduated from Vermillion High School in 1990. He is currently employed by Baldwin Filters in Yankton.
