"We wrestled well, most of the tournament," Coach Bret Jones said. "We had a couple bad matches, but overall I was very pleased. Jared Thedorff continues to wrestle well, recording three pins on the way to winning the tournament's 152-pound weight class. I was also pleased with the performance of Josh Kyte. He is starting to finish some of his 'shots' and is winning more matches.
"I thought Ray O'Connor wrestled the match of his life, in losing to Wilson of Roosevelt," he continued. "I was very proud with the way he got after it. He had several nice 'double legs' takedowns that he couldn't finish in bounds. It was also nice to have Ben Parsons get a couple wins and I liked the way Elliot Hasse came back with a tech fall and major decision after being upset in the semi's."
