Clay RWS announces educational grants The Clay Rural Water System of Wakonda announces its 2000-2001 Educational Assistance Grant Program for system members.
Two $500 grants will be awarded for the 2000-01 school year to a member or the children of members of Clay Rural Water. The program is intended to recognize the achievements of area youth and assist them in bettering themselves by obtaining a higher education. This is the eighth year of the program.
The grants will be available to a student who is enrolled or planning to enroll in a fulltime undergraduate course of study at an accredited, two-year or four-year college, university or vocation/technical school.
The recipients will be pre-qualified based on a combination of academics, extracurricular and community service criteria. Two winners will be randomly drawn from the qualified group.
Applications can be obtained from high school guidance counselors or by contacting Clay Rural Water at (605) 267-2088.
The deadline for submitting applications is April 10.
