USD women roll past Morningside to win South Dakota improved to 11-12 overall and 4-10 in the North Central Conference with a 77-57 win over Morningside last Saturday.
The Coyotes are at Minnesota State-Mankato and St. Cloud State Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25-26.
The Coyotes opened up a 41-29 halftime lead over Morningside and USD outscored the Mustangs, 36-28, in the second half. USD held Morningside to 25.4 percent shooting from the field while the Coyotes were 28 of 66 for 42.4 percent.
USD had a balanced attack with four players in double figures paced by Julia Frie's 17 points. Nicole Jaycox had 15 points, followed by Heather Nelson and Amanda Iverson with 14 and 13 points, respectively.
USD, which was outrebounded, 56-46, was led on the boards by Frie with seven.
