Volleyball team suffers loss on Parents Night by Jim Prosser The Vermillion Tanagers varsity volleyball team lost to the Bon Homme Lady Cavaliers on Parents Night at Vermillion High School on Thursday, Jan. 27. The scores of the games were 9-15, 11-15.

�We played well � even in the loss to Bon Homme,� said Coach Kathy Reckling. �We just couldn�t put a good ?run� together against a very good Bon Homme team.�

Elly Kjose had 21 assist for the Tanagers, Carey Engstrom had nine service points and three ace serves. Lana Johnson had eight kills for the night.

The �B� team won their match 15-9, 15-2 and the �C� team won 15-12, 15-13 in the Parents� Night match.

The Tanagers dropped their season record to 12-8 with the loss. The Tanagers will be back in action on Monday, Feb. 7 as they travel to Yankton for a dual match. The �C� match will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the �B� match and the varsity match at the Summit Center.
