Birthday balloon

Birthday balloon JoAnn Olson of Burbank has always wanted to take a ride in a hot air balloon, and the weather was so nice on her birthday Saturday that her husband, Erlan, was able to surprise her by arranging a flight on John Gunderson�s balloon. After taking off in Vermillion, the craft was pushed by a gentle breeze toward the northeast corner of Clay County. JoAnn�s family drove on county roads to watch her flight. Her grandchildren stopped long enough to shout greetings to JoAnn and play along a fenceline as the balloon soared overhead.
