SD Supreme Court will meet at USD Law School The University of South Dakota School of Law will host the spring session of the South Dakota Supreme Court Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, March 20-22.
Court sessions, which are free and open to the public, will be held at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., and 11 a.m. daily in the courtroom of the Law School.
Booklets containing a schedule of the cases to be heard and a short synopsis of each case, as well as biographical information on the justices and a short summary of appellate procedure will be available for persons attending any of the court's sessions.
Nine cases are scheduled for oral argument during the March term, and there are 21 cases on the court's non-oral calendar. In addition to considering those cases in which argument is held, the court will consider several non-oral cases each day.
Persons attending the oral arguments should be in the courtroom at least five minutes prior to the starting hour of each case. A schedule of the cases to be heard will be available at the Office of the Dean, USD School of Law.
