Student dies in car wreck

Student dies in car wreck Gerrad W. Martin, 24, of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, March 5, near Wakonda as the result of a car accident.

According to the Clay County Sheriff's Department, Martin was alone in the vehicle. The accident occurred just west of a residence at 45668 305th Street in Bethel Township. The Clay County Sheriff's Department received the report at about 4 p.m. Deputy Paul Pederson investigated.

Martin was a University of South Dakota student, majoring in English.
