Youth wrestlers participate in Region 5 AAU Tournament

Youth wrestlers participate in Region 5 AAU Tournament Members of the Vermillion Youth Wrestling Club who participated in the Region 5 AAU Wrestling Tournament on Saturday, March 18 in Salem were:

Brad Simons second, Eric McPherson fourth, Andy Hayner fifth, Nick Mart seventh, and Casey Carlson seventh, and Tyler Thedorf, Joseph Brewer, Tanner Mart and Ryan O'Connor.

Brad Simons and Andy Hayer qualified in the freestyle division for the state tournament March 25 in Rapid City.

Members of the Vermillion Youth Wrestling Club participated and placed in several other youth wrestling tournaments, including: O'Gorman Wrestling Tournament, March 11 � Casey Carlson first, Tyler Osborn fourth and Ryan O'Connor fourth; Rock Rapids Wrestling Tournament, March 11 � Aaron Steele first and Tyler Steele fourth; Freemen Youth Wrestling Tournament, March 12 � Tyler Osborne second.

Omitted from last week's article on the Region 10 AAU tournament was Ryan O'Connor, sixth.
