April gas prices fall more than 12� AAA's pre-Easter Fuel Gauge Survey, taken April 18, shows the statewide average price of self-serve unleaded gasoline is $1.444 per gallon.
This is down 12.16 cents from last month when the statewide average reached a record high of $1.5656 per gallon.
Despite falling gas prices, Easter travelers will spend an average of 28.63 cents a gallon more at the pumps this holiday compared to last year when prices averaged $1.1577 per gallon.
AA's Fuel Gauge Survey, shows the national average price of self-serve unleaded gasoline is $1.489 per gallon, which is 33.9 cents higher than a year ago, when prices averaged $1.15 per gallon nationally.
