Tanager girls finish third There were nine schools represented at the Lennox Invitational last Friday, April 14.
Tanager girls' track team scored 77 points to place third behind Big 8 conference foes, Madison and Lennox.
Vermillion scorers in field events were:
Sarah Mollet placed second in the shot put with a toss of 37' 9.75" and Jaclyn Powell scored a second place in the long jump and fourth in the the triple jump as well as a third in the high jump where Meggie Donnelly placed sixth. Salina Dunkeson placed sixth in the 100M hurdles.
Results in the dashes were:
100M � first, Elly Kjose; 200M � fifth, Jenna Gilkyson; 400M � third, Tessa Tuetken. In the long distance runs, Beth Pier placed fourth in the 800M, Kathy Plate claimed second in the 1600M, and in the 3200M, Angela Rydell and Natalie Tuetken were fourth and sixth, respectively.
In the relays, third place was scored in the 4x100M with members Jenna Gilkyson, Meggie Donnelly, Elly Kjose and Carly Bernard. The 4x200M relay team was fourth (Kjose, Bernard, Powell and Gilkyson).
The 4x400M relay team came in fourth place (Tessa Tuetken, Bernard, Kelly Peterson and Beth Pier). The Medley team with Elly Kjose, Pederson. T. Tuetken and Rasmussen won the race in 4:34.62 minutes.
There were nine schools represented at the meet: Madison, Lennox, Vermillion, Harrisburg, Tri-Valley, Canton, West Central, Hamlin, and Howard.
