USD students receive excellence awards Officers of the Greek system at The University of South Dakota accepted programming excellence awards at the Mid-American Greek Conference Association convention held recently in Chicago, IL.
The students, representing the Interfraternity (IFC) and Panhellenic (PHC) Councils, received eight Individual Programming Excellence Awards at the conference. The IFC received two awards for outstanding programming in the areas of academic achievements as well as self-governance and judicial affairs. The PHC received six awards including academic achievement, risk reduction and management, self-governance and judicial affairs, membership recruitment and retention, community service and leadership and educational development.
Students who attended the conference included Matt Breske, son of Ann Marshall and Mick Breske of Vermillion, IFC recruitment chair, and Kim Crowley, daughter of Mark and Kathy Crowley of Vermillion.
