Alpha Lambda Chapter will host state convention The Alpha Lambda Chapter #618, of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha International Sorority, will host the 50th State Convention in Vermillion, May 5-7.
Headquarters will be the Eagle's Club. The theme selected for the convention is "Celebrate 2000, Envision the Future." International Representative Pat Griffin, Mableton, GA, will be the official representative to the convention.
Sandi Sorensen, state president, Mitchell, will preside over the business sessions.
Co-chairmen of the convention are Luann Ouellette, Maryln Harnois, and Sandie Sullivan; registration: Dorothy Wright, JoAnn Stockland; Friday Night Mixer: Mary Geffre Johnson, Eleanor Offerdahl and Thelma Raines; Sunday Brunch: Peggy Mollet and Audrey Gillen; convention treasurer: Theresa Wingen.
The awards luncheon will feature the presentation of the State Youth Presentation of the Diana, and presentation of outstanding first year members. Sue Kirby will speak at the luncheon, "Celebrate the Ordinary."
The installation of officers and acceptance speech by the newly elected president will highlight the banquet.
On Sunday morning a brunch will be served and a memorial service will be conducted by Maryln Harnois, state chaplain.
