Area chiropractors attend conference Several area chiropractors recently attended a continuing education conference where they learned to use the latest research available to document the effectiveness of chiropractic health care.
Chiropractic physicians licensed in South Dakota must get 20 hours of continuing education every two years. Upon graduation from chiropractic colleges, chiropractic physicians have at least 4,485 hours of education and training.

The South Dakota Chiropractor's Association represents all 231 chiropractors licensed to practice in the state. Chiropractic physicians provide a drug-free, non-surgical approach to health care. On average, 24 percent of South Dakotans are treated each year by chiropractic physicians, the highest utilization of chiropractic in the nation.
