Hutt receives Hy-Vee scholarship Forty college or university juniors have been named winners of $1,000 scholarships through the Hy-Vee Foundation, sponsored by Hy-Vee, Inc.
Jason Hutt, Watertown, who is a student at The University of South Dakota and an employee at the Vermillion Hy-Vee, is a scholarship recipient.
The scholarship competition is open to college juniors who work for Hy-Vee. The winners were selected on the basis of academic record, extracurricular activities, citizenship, financial need, employer recommendations and personal essay.
Foundation President Rose Kleyweg Mitchell, Vice President, Education and Governmental Affairs for Hy-Vee, noted that the scholarship recipients have excellent grade point averages and are involved in school, church, civic and social activities.
