Stewart places 10th in girls' golf championship Vermillion Tanager Allison Stewart finished 10th in the individual standings at the Class A girls' state golf championship, held at the Lee Park Golf Course in Aberdeen Monday and Tuesday.
Stewart's two-day score was 160. Also for Vermillion, Karrie Plate finished at 194 and Tabitha Hubert finished at 205.
In the team competition, Sioux Falls O'Gorman claimed the Class A championship, with golfers in three of the top four spots, and a team score of 634.
Rapid City Stevens finished second with 650, Brookings was third, Mitchell was fourth and Sioux Falls Roosevelt was fifth.
