University students gaining experience student teaching Education students at The University of South Dakota are completing their student teaching in area schools this spring. They began their teaching assignments on Feb. 21 and will continue through May 12.
Students practice teach at several levels including kindergarten, elementary and secondary. All education students are required to teach at least one semester. Special education majors spend two semesters student teaching.
