Vermillion hosts Big 8 Conference Tournament The Tanager girls' golf team met the enemy of Big 8 Conference foes Lennox and Madison for the annual tournament at The Bluffs in Vermillion on Friday, May 5.
Playing with less than a total varsity team, the VHS girls placed second with a 402 score, while Madison won with 381 and Lennox was third at 413.
Medalist was the Bulldogs' Liz Wenk with 88 for the 18-hole match.
Tanager scoring results were: Allison Stewart � 92, Karrie Plate � 94; Terri Upward � 97; Tabitha Hubert � 105; and Brooke Nelson � 111.
The JV tournament matches gave a brighter result as the Tanagers scored a low 444 to the Lennox Orioles 481 and Madison's 516.
