Youth Track Club competes in Sioux City The Vermillion Youth Track Club competed at the last SYA meet of the 2000 season, Sunday, May 7 at Roberts Stadium in Sioux City, IA.
Second grade: Michael Nelson, fourth long jump, second 100m; Ryun Fischbach, second � 1600m (7:53.28), fourth � 100m and 400m (1:30.62) and sixth � long jump (8'10").
Third grade: Tony Thomas, first � 4x100m relay and 1600m, fourth � long jump, fifth � 100m, and sixth � high jump. Tyler Johnson, first � 4x100m relay, second � 200m, fifth � shot put and high jump and sixth � long jump and 100m.
Fourth grade: Casey Carlson, first � 4x100m relay (1:01 � meet record), second � 1600m (7:06), third � 100m hurdles (23.88), fourth � 100m and fifth � long jump (11'6"). Matt Nelson, second � 100m, third � long jump. Margaret Mueller, second � 4x100m relay, third � 400m, 100m and 200m, sixth � long jump.
Fifth grade: Andrew Manning, first � 3200m (12:23.46 � meet record), 4x100m relay and 1600m, and third � high jump. Ryan O'Connor, first � 100m, second � 200m, third � 100m hurdles and long jump (11'3 1/2") sixth � high jump.
Jeff Donnelly, first � 4x100m relay and 100m hurdles, second � high jump. Crystal Coakley, first � 4x100m relay (57.68 � meet record), third � 100m and 400m.
Seventh grade: Annie Carlson, first � long jump (13'9"), high jump (4'6"), 100m hurdles (18.01 meet record), 100m (14.27) and 4x100m relay (56.60 � meet record).

The Vermillion Youth Track Club will be competing at the 2000 USATF/Iowa Junior Olympic qualifying meet on Sunday, May 21 at Roberts Stadium in Sioux City.
