David Yarbrough receives Cub Scout religious award

David Yarbrough receives Cub Scout religious award David Yarbrough was presented with the God & Me, God & Country Award on June 4 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Yarbrough is a Cub Scout in Pack 165 with Mary Anne Meyer as den leader.

Yarbrough's medallion, certificate, and pin were presented in a ceremony led by Rev. Mercy Hobbs, vicar. The God & Me award is a religious program that requires both Bible study and service projects for the church. This educational experience supple-

ments traditional Sunday School while providing hands-on training in the church.

Yarbrough explored the Bible, his heritage and worked on several projects during the last three years, in addition to his regular Cub Scout curriculum. One of his favorite projects was being an acolyte for St. Paul's Episcopal Church.

He is son of Janis and Stephen Yarbrough, Vermillion.

A reception following the service included a cake decorated by Monica Iverson. She made a cake replica of the God & Me medallion. Chuck and Marti Weidemann hosted the reception.
