Johnson graduates with distinction More than 2,500 students received degrees during Iowa State University's commencement ceremonies, on Friday, May 5, and Saturday, May 6 in Ames, IA.
Iowa State awarded 2,280 bachelor's degrees, 281 master's degrees, 74 doctor of philosophy degrees, 98 veterinary medicine degrees and one specialist degree.
Amy Johnson, Vermillion, graduated with distinction with a bachelor of science degree in zoology.
Of the students receiving bachelor's degrees, 325 graduated with distinction for maintaining grade-point averages of 3.50 or above, based on a 4.0 scale.
