Local students receive scholarships

Local students receive scholarships Forty-four area students were recently awarded Valedictorian Scholarships at The University of South Dakota.

The scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who rank number one in their senior class. Each student will receive $1000 for his or her freshman year at USD.

The students honored include Patricia Crowley and Katrina Jacobs who recently graduated from Vermillion High School.
