Schoellerman receives scholarship at SDSU Amy Schoellerman, Vermillion, has been named a recipient of the H.W. Clarkson Scholarship for the 2000-2001 school year at South Dakota State University.
Schoellerman will be a freshman biology major at SDSU this fall. The daughter of Ron and Ann Schoellerman of Vermillion, she is a 2000 graduate of Vermillion High School. During high school Schoellerman was active in gymnastics, Honors program, National Honor Society, and Renaissance Club.
In 1948 Herbert Clarkson, a South Dakota rancher and businessman, established an SDSU student loan fund which was later converted to an endowment from which scholarships are awarded. Recipients are freshmen chosen based on extra-curricular activities and academic performance.
