VHS grads earn USD scholarships Several Vermillion High School graduates were recently awarded Foundation Scholarships at The University of South Dakota. The scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen who have maintained a grade point average of 3.75 or higher and scored a 27 or higher on the ACT. Students will receive $1,000 for their freshman year at USD.
Vermillion recipients of this scholarship are Dallas Jopling, Aaron Kauer, Tim Margheim, Hilary Pederson, David Price and Jessica Sorensen.
VHS students awarded the John T. Vucurevich scholarship are Cullen Iverson, Margheim, Cory Novak, Price and Melissa Rydell. This scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen with an interest in business. Students will receive either a $500 or $700 award for their first year at USD.
VHS graduates who received Incentive Scholarships from USD are Iverson, Bridget Jacobs, Novak, Rydell and Joshua Quevillon. The scholarships are given to incoming freshmen with a 24, 25 or 26 on the ACT. Students will receive $400 for their freshman year at USD.
