Youth receive purple ribbons The Clay County 4-H Demonstration and Illustrated Talk contest was held Wednesday, July 5 at the 4-H Center in Vermillion.
Four members participated in the local contest and one was judged in Lincoln County.
Purple ribbons were awarded to Katie Strom and Joni Strom of Beresford, Emily Miller and Dean Miller of Wakonda and Amanda Aga, Vermillion.
Purple ribbon winners will advance to state fair competition in Huron July 31 through Aug. 6.
Janet Stark, Utica, served as judge for the event.
