Couple to wed Kristine Johnson and Steve Gullikson announce their engagement.

Parents of the bride-to-be are Mr. and Mrs. Jay Howkinson, Coal Valley, IL, and Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Johnson, Moline, IL. Parents of the groom-to-be are Fran Gullikson, Fordyce, NE, and Ernie Gullikson, Yankton.

The bride-to-be graduated from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque and now works at Alter & Sons, Inc., in Davenport, IA.

The groom-to-be graduated from The University of South Dakota and is now working on his doctorate at Palmer College of Chiropractics in Davenport, IA.

The couple is planning a Sept. 8 wedding.
