Pleasant Valley Lutheran plans celebration Sept. 9-10 Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church in rural Vermillion will celebrate 125 years of the goodness of life on the prairie with special events Sept. 9-10.
On Sept. 9, the celebration will begin with a 2 p.m. program and proceed with refreshments and opening worship service at 4 p.m. Saturday will conclude with a hog roast at 5:30 p.m. Sunday worship will be held at 10:30 a.m. A catered dinner will follow. The price for dinner is $10 for adults and $5 for children. A tree dedication and closing music fest will run from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
These festivities and services are planned to honor the hard work and dedication of South Dakota's forefathers that created a wonderful state community.
Pleasant Valley Lutheran Church is located at 45918 308th St., 10 miles north of Vermillion. Take Highway 19 north from Highway 50 to 308th Street. Then head three miles west and you've found us!
