Exchange vows Kerrin Anne Wempe and Adam Daniel Simoncic were united in marriage on June 22, at St. John's Catholic Church, Omaha, NE. Father Thomas Bannantine officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of John and Diane Wempe of Spesbach, Germany, and the granddaughter of Thomas and Patricia Garry of Sioux Falls, and Robert and Genevieve Wempe of Parkston. The groom is the son of Mary Simoncic of Okinawa, Japan and Alan Simoncic of Heidelberg, Germany, and the grandson of Helen Simoncic of Pittsburgh, PA, the late Anthony Simoncic, and the late Paul and Marguerite Reed.
Maid of honor was Kelli Wempe, sister of the bride. Best man was David Simoncic, brother of the groom. Bridesmaids were Mary Cahill and Erica Iverson. Groomsmen were Aaron Fisk and Ray Pineda. The flower girl was Ayla Simoncic. Ushers were Ryan Wempe and Andrew Wempe, brothers of the bride.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Vermillion High School and a 2000 graduate of Creighton University with a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is an Army officer currently stationed at Ft. Sill, OK. The groom is a 1994 graduate of Kadena High School, Okinawa, Japan, and a 1999 graduate of Creighton University with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics. He is an Air Force officer attending pilot training at Vance Air Force Base, OK.
The reception was held at the Sheraton Omaha Hotel. Following the honeymoon trip to Oahu, HI, the couple will reside in Oklahoma.
