WELL hosts 3-woman tourney

WELL hosts 3-woman tourney Saturday, Aug. 26 was a beautiful day at The Bluffs for the Wednesday Evening Ladies League (WELL) 3-Woman Golf Tournament.

No fog, a nice breeze, and not much sun until later in the round made for pleasant playing conditions. The course was in great shape as usual � thanks to the ground crew for all their hard work this year. The new flowerbeds are very pretty and received lots of comments from the out-of-town golfers.

Our thanks to The Bluffs staff � Kirk, Rusty, Dennis, Eric, Lenny, Matt, Corey, Aaron, Mike and Patty. Thanks also for the assistance with the golf carts � Aaron, Nathan and Rob. Things only run smoothly when everyone works together!

The tournament was a scramble format with three flights paying four places each. First place got $88, second was $66, third was $44, and fourth paid $22 to each team member. Pin prizes were worth $30 each.

We had 38 teams sign up with folks from Springfield, Brookings, Sioux Falls, Scotland and other surrounding towns.
