Schempp new director on lumber association board Curtis Schempp, president of Herren-Schempp Building Supply, Vermillion, was recently elected to the board of directors of Northwestern Lumber Association.
His 25 years of experience and service in the lumber and building material industry will be an asset to the organization and its members.
Not only is Schempp committed to the lumber industry, he is also involved with his community. He is a past president of the Lions Club and current president of the Vermillion Area Chamber of Commerce. He is also active in his church.
He and his wife, Sally, reside in Vermillion.
The Northwest Lumber Association is a trade organization headquartered in Minneapolis which represents over 750 independent and lineyard lumber and building material retailers and their suppliers in Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. The association represents the lumber and building material industry in the legislature at both the state and federal level.
The organization also provides its members with group health and accident insurance, educational programs, group-buying discounts and the opportunity for increased communication and social contact for members through its two annual conventions.
The Northwestern Lumber Association has been serving the lumber and building material industry in the public interest since 1890.
