St. Jude bike-a-thon winners announced Mary Geffre Johnson, St. Jude bike ride coordinator, presented a bike to Lindsay Covill for collecting $220 for the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The bike was a gift from Pamida and The Index.
Over $2,000 has been collected. Donations can still be sent to Johnson, 1516 East Cherry St., Vermillion.
Justin Mockler and Sasheen Thin Elk won $50 savings bonds donated by Community First and CorTrust banks; Chris Harvey won a boom box, a gift of AISAC, and Seth Sooey was the lucky winner of the silver minted coin � a donation of First National Bank.
The oldest rider was Wendell Shouse and Jonathan Prezzler was the youngest rider.
Nearly 40 riders took part in the event held at Jolley School.
A picnic was held following the ride for the volunteers and riders.
