Thomson, Noble will present a musical reunion Thanksgiving is a time when friends and family reunite.
On the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, University of South Dakota professor John Thomson and Jack Noble, emeritus professor, will present a musical reunion of sorts.
They will perform a recital consisting of the first sonatas for violin and piano by Robert Schumann and Johannes Brahms, and the Hebrew Melodies for viola and piano by Joseph Joachim.
"Schumann, Brahms, and Joachim were three composers drawn to each other through extraordinary bonds of respect, professional collaboration, and friendship. I think they would be pleased to see themselves again sharing a program with each other," Thomson said.
The recital is free and will take place in Farber Hall on the USD campus at 8 p.m. Nov. 28.
