Beeck is honorary chair of Miracle Tree campaign The Sioux Valley Vermillion Medical Campus Miracle Tree is lit as representation of a fund-raising campaign among the employees to benefit the Sioux Valley Children's Miracle Network. The campaign has an "honorary chairman," Adrian Beeck, son of Drs. Allen and Valerie Beeck of Akron, IA.
Adrian, as a baby, received intensive care services at Sioux Valley Hospital-USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Adrian has been receiving follow up rehabilitation therapy from the Sioux Valley Vermillion-USD Pediatric Rehabilitation Clinic.
"It has been a great experience working with Adrian and watching him progress. His parents' dedication and involvement in this process has been an inspiration," said Bob Brockevelt, Sioux Valley Vermillion Rehabilitation Service director.
With the help of Clay Union Electric volunteers, arrangements were made for a beautiful decoration of lights on the tree at the corner of Main and Plum streets. The tree bears 2,700 lights.
"We designated this as our Miracle Tree which symbolizes the fund raising currently underway. Our goal is to raise $500. All of our staff has gotten into the spirit of the fund-raising campaign to help children like Adrian and the tree is truly a beautiful sight to share with everyone this holiday season. We appreciate Clay Union Electric's volunteers who decorated it so beautifully," said John Paulson, CEO.
